Bilger’s Rocks - Pennsylvania

This is a super cool area in South Central, Pennsylvania. One night during a drive from Wisconsin to New York, it was around 2 in the morning and I was looking for a place to park for the night in my van. I ended up checking Mountain Project and randomly choosing this spot, then went bouldering here the next day.

Actually super cool! TONS of potential here. All sandstone, lots of interesting holds and cool structures.

Tons of trails nearby as well.

It was kind of awkward climbing here alone, most of the climbs are actually highballs. I ended up traversing a lot because I didn’t have a partner or a pad. But overall, super cool.

Bring a pad and a partner.
