Santa Barbara, California

It’s not exactly a climbing destination, but there is some realllllllllly awesome sandstone bouldering in Santa Barbara, California. Also, just generally speaking, Chyah Chyah and I really loved this town.

The location is basically on top of a mountain, overlooking the ocean. It’s great for staying in a van/vanlife, and you get treated to incredible views when the clouds clear. Most of the time, though, you’re chilling out in a cloud (at least when we were there):

The standout boulder is probably yeti, powerful boulder with a sketch/commiting topout.

There’s a ton of cool areas, though! We pretty much only bouldered in “the brickyard”, which gave us plenty to climb for one day
